Who are the candidates listed?
All candidates live and work in the Philippines and are interested in remote work as a personal assistant. Initially they were interested in working for our company, Magic, a 24/7 personal assistant service via text. For one reason or the other the candidates on this list did not end up working for us. Each person sent a written agreement to be listed here.
Why is this a free list?
We wanted to give this list away for free, rather than charge for it, as a way of providing help to people looking for a virtual assistant. We are confident using Magic is a better experience than hiring your own virtual assistant. However, if you want to hire one, feel free to use this list.
How much do I need to pay my assistant?
It completely depends on the rate you negotiate. Standard rates in the Philippines are $4 to $10 per hour. You must agree upon a salary and determine a method of paying your assistant. If you're unsure of how to do this, we recommend creating an offer to your candidate via Upwork.
What can they do for me? Can they do ____?
This is something you'll have to find out when talking to them. Each assistant has written a paragraph about themselves and their skills. We recommend reaching out to a few and scheduling a Skype call.
How is Magic different?
Magic has already done the hard work for you. We're sourced, hired, trained high quality assistants. They work in a secure environment and use special task management software we've developed to make sure your tasks don't get dropped. All of our assistants are salaried employees with benefits (e.g. health insurance, vacation leave, fun events, etc.) You also only pay for the exact minutes they spend working, and you'll never have to manage them or manage their time.
